CARE & MAINTENANCE
Your Seasons Adirondack Chair is manufactured from premium eucalyptus timber and is pre-treated with a light oil coating for basic protection. To ensure long-lasting durability and preserve its natural beauty, proper maintenance is essential.
INITAL TREATMENT
- Apply a high-quality exterior wood sealer immediately after assembly.
- For covered patio use, a quality exterior wood sealer with a natural finish is recommended.
- For furniture exposed to harsher conditions, use a weather-resistant exterior wood sealer suitable for outdoor timber.
ONGOING CARE
- Reapply the wood sealer regularly according to the manufacturer's instructions and the level of outdoor exposure.
- Wipe away any excess sealer after application using a lint-free cloth if recommended by the product manufacturer.
- Tighten screws and fittings periodically to maintain stability.
- Clean the furniture before reapplying any protective coating.
- If the timber becomes rough over time, lightly sand the surface with 180-grit sandpaper before resealing.
OUTDOOR EXPOSURE
- This chair is recommended for covered patio use only.
- If placed in more exposed areas, protect it with a suitable outdoor furniture cover when not in use.
- Natural weathering, slight colour changes, and fine hairline cracks may occur over time. These are normal characteristics of solid timber and do not affect the structural integrity of the chair.
